Thank you for your interest in The Silver Guard (TSG). You've been directed to our forums either through our website or from an existing TSG member. For all who are interested in joining us at TSG, be sure to review the Code of Conduct and Recruitment Information pages of our website if you have not done so already.

Our recruiting process is handled in one of two ways.

1) If handled directly through our forums here, your entrance into TSG will be determined by our officers' general opinion of you. You may be asked a few questions in game or brought into one of our raids/groups prior to acceptance. Most likely, this will be the manner in which an applicant will be evaluated.

2) We also accept new members through sponsorship. In general, an existing member of TSG will personally vouch for the applicant. Such sponsorships are handled only if the existing TSG member has solid, personal experience with the applicant.

*** One important note considering membership growth within our guild. We are in a position where certain classes are full, and we may need to evaluate incoming applications with a careful eye on our class mixes and crowding. We all understand that it is difficult on both existing members and incoming recruits of full classes when there is only so much room available in certain events, groups, instances, dungeons and the like.

We participate with alliances (such as the Silver Hand Raiders) to attend the end-game, 40-man raids, though this is not our only focus. If you are interested in joining TSG for the sole purpose of raiding these instances, this is not the place for you. We do observe a minimum two-week lockout from attending these raids with our alliance partners, and at times this lockout period may be extended. If such an adjustment is necessary, you will be informed of it prior to acceptance within SG.

With that being said, if you are interested in joining TSG, please post some information about yourself:

Things you should include are:

1) Your character name, class and level
2) Any guilds you were previously a member of
3) Why you left your old guild
4) Why you want to join TSG
5) Anything else you feel is relevant

We are currently evaluating incoming applications carefully. Like many guilds here on Silver Hand, we are interested in bolstering our ranks of healers and tanks over other types of classes. We have a very solid number of DPS and DPS-oriented hybrids around, and it is not our priority to bring in more of these types of players/classes into our mix. If an applicant is an excellent fit for our guild due to personality, integrity and such, we can make exceptions.

As of Tuesday, July 17, 2007 ....

We are no longer accepting applications to join TSG. We've had a large influx of applications and players recently, and we are not looking for any further growth for the time being. We appreciate the interest in our guild and thank you all for looking our way, but a careful eye on our population, class mixes and opportunities for our guild members leads us to making this decision until further notice.
